 About Dr. Edwards

Dr. Crystal M. Edwards is the Superintendent of Lawrence Township Public Schools in New Jersey.  She has over 30 years of educational experience with an expertise in STEM.  She earned a B.S. in Secondary Education (Penn State), an M.S. in Chemistry (Rutgers), and an Ed.D in Educational Leadership, Management, and Policy (Seton Hall).  

Dr. Edwards is committed to enhancing and improving curriculum and instruction, providing quality professional training for teachers and administrators, and incorporating character education throughout the community.  She is a firm believer in paying it forward and serves as a mentor for women and minorities interested in careers in STEM and leadership in education.  

Happily married with five children, Dr. Edwards enjoys worshipping at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens in Somerset and doing outdoor activities such as hiking, bike riding, running half marathons, and simply lounging by the pool.
